Intrigue

What does it mean, the word intrigue? The Cambridge English Dictionary states :

to interest someone a lot, especially by being strange, unusual, or mysterious.

Last week I took a day off work. My focus group are intrigued by my work in progress. They ask, “What’s your goal? When will you complete?”

Last week I took the project further. I met face to face and online with people who are supportive. People who are in the know. People who have added to my focus. I’ve decided to call the project ‘intrigue’. Why? Because I’ve been using the word a bit much of late.

The project is full of intrigue and mystery. It’s been a long time in the making. Just another of the projects that have been in my head and now ready to hatch. I’m sure you know what I mean. I’m sure you’ve lots of ideas milling inside your head just waiting to pop out!

Thank goodness it’s out of my head, it’s been there far too long. Thanks to those who mentor me, guide me. It’s a challenge, and as with all challenges there are ups and downs. More ups than downs? I’m not sure. I haven’t kept a record – which is strange for me because I’m a natural record keeper. It’s because of my work, you know – record keeping.

The deadline for my project is set and I’m determined to meet it. Meet it is complete it.

Are you interested? Intrigued?

That’s all for now!

My tune for this blog? Well, I found this song!

Marianne Faithful’s Intrigue – do you like it?

The feature photo is by me – Stockholm landing. I was intrigued by what’s in the wings!

I write when I have the urge. I write to express feelings. I write to explore my imagination. I write about my thoughts and dreams. I write for enjoyment. I write to relax. I write because I like to write.
If you find words that resonate with you, I’d love to hear from you. If you find a situation that reminds you of something, someone, sometime, I’d love to hear from you. If you’d just like to tell me wat you think of this post, I’d love to hear from you. Do hope you enjoy reading Cecilyswritings.
